Every message, in order, with its time and sender. A chat PDF should read like the chat: one message after another, each with the time it was sent and who sent it. ThreadBind prints the time in a fixed-width font and the sender in bold, then the message text wrapped to the page. Long messages that ran over several lines in the export stay together as one message.
A heading for each day. Dates repeated on every line are noise on paper. ThreadBind starts each day with a full date heading, such as December 24, 2023, and keeps that heading on the same page as the first message under it.
Pictures where they were sent. A photo means little without the message around it. ThreadBind matches every photo and sticker in the export folder to the line that mentions it and places it inline, scaled to the page width and at most about four inches tall. Stickers print small, the way they look in the chat.
Every other file named. Voice notes, videos, documents and shared contacts cannot go on paper, so ThreadBind names each one under its message, for example Audio: PTT-20231224-WA0003.opus, written as a link to the file.
A record of anything missing. When the chat mentions a file that is not in the folder, the PDF says so at that message and lists every missing file again at the end, with its time. Nothing disappears quietly.
Chat events and changes, marked. Group events such as a member being added appear as chat events in smaller type. Deleted messages read This message was deleted, and edited messages carry an Edited note.
Page furniture that helps a reader. The first page carries a title block with the message count, the date range, the number of participants and when the PDF was made. Every page shows the chat name at the top and a page number such as 3 / 12.
A new file, with the export left alone. ThreadBind only reads the export, writes the PDF to a file you name, and shows a preview of the first pages as soon as the export completes.
